Thank you for requesting information about our courses at Fairyhouse Food & Wine School. If you book a course with us, there are a few practicalities that we need to make you aware of in advance. please read carefully.
Payment
Payment can be made by cheque, credit card or laser card.
Cheque:
In the case of payment made by cheque the booking is considered a Provisional Booking until payment is received – we allow 5 working days for receipt of a cheque, after which time the place becomes available once again to another customer.
Credit Card / Laser Card:
We take details over the phone to process payment. The booking is considered ‘confirmed’ once the payment has been processed. The receipt from the transaction is given to you on the day of the course.
Course Fees and Dates
Course fees and dates are quoted at the time of our schedule going to print and we reserve the right to make alterations. This may be particularly relevant to VOUCHERS as they are valid for 1 YEAR and prices, times and dates may change within this period.
Cancellation Policy
Only cancellations received at least 2 WEEKS before the start date of the course you booked can be refunded (less 10% administration fee.) Otherwise, cancellations are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend a class you may nominate someone to attend in your place.
For bookings made with a VOUCHER you must present the voucher at class sign-in. The same cancellation policy applies to the use of vouchers i.e. non-refundable unless you have given at least 2 weeks notice of cancellation.
Property
All property which is brought to the school is done so entirely at your own risk and the proprietors cannot accept any responsibility for any loss or damage to the property. During a course, Fairyhouse Food & Wine School does not accept responsibility for any injury which you incur.
Clothing and Footwear
As a matter of Health & Safety, we require that all participants wear suitable shoes (i.e. closed top, low heeled). Avoid wearing loose articles of clothing. We provide aprons for use during classes. Smoking is not permitted inside the cookery school.
Parking
There is parking for 12 cars on the school premises. Please take other people into account when parking and try to avoid parking outside the perimeters of the school grounds. You park at your own risk and the school does not take any responsibility for vehicles park on their grounds.
Enjoy the Day
We would like to emphasise that the only pre-requisites for the courses are enthusiasm and an interest in food and cooking. We look forward to welcoming you for what we are sure will be a most enjoyable time.
